Influences: Ian Paice, Brian Downey and Jon Bonham

Getting started involved the inevitable saucepan lids, pots and pans and knitting needles playing along to Top Of The Pops and anything my sister played on the record player. With this ‘din’ fixed firmly in their heads my parents sent me to guitar lessons to “Learn some sort of tune quietly.”

Once my paid up 24 lessons were over it was back to the more interesting issue of drums. After purchasing my first kit I was off gigging mainly with school friends and such like. In and out of various bands over the years whilst learning all the time and changing drum teachers and drum kits and picking brains along the way, from different cover bands to originals. When the last original band folded in the early 90’s, so did I, and what followed was my missing years, both musically and personally.

I went back for more tuition in the late 90’s and made another stab at getting a good rock band together (original stuff had been left behind). The rest as they say, is history...

Current Kit:

Pearl SLX kits (piano black) with Zildijan cymbals, pearl hardware, Iron cobra bass drum pedal, Powerstoke 3 beech 5B sticks (if anyone’s interested)
